Timber Survey - £250.
A Damp and Timber Survey is the process of an investigation and examination being carried out by our Specialist PCA CSDB | CSTDB Certificated Damp and Timber Surveyor to check for the type and extent of dampness, timber or woodworm problems that could possibly be found in your property.
The internal and external survey will accurately determine the type and extent of any such dampness, fungal decay and wood boring infestation and give you a definitive diagnosis, list of works, and remedial quote to rectify the issues if they are present.
Pre-Buy Damp and Timber Survey - £250
A pre-purchase property Damp and Timber Survey is the process of an investigation and examination being carried out by our Specialist PCA CSDB | CSTDB Certificated Damp and Timber Surveyor to check for the type and extent of dampness, timber or woodworm problems that could possibly be found before purchasing a property.
The internal and external survey will accurately determine the type and extent of any such dampness, fungal decay and wood boring infestation and give you a definitive diagnosis, list of works, and remedial quote to rectify the issues if they are present.
This can help enormously and could enable you to gain a fair asking price for the property due to the extent of the damage and the cost implications of the remedial works needed to rectify any issues. A pre-purchase damp and timber report is one of the most common specialist reports for any property especially older buildings and is often requested as part of the home buying process.
What goes into a Hamilton Condensation and Mould Survey?
Internally our qualified expert will examine all walls for Condensation and Mould and map out a full moisture profile especially on walls where the symptoms are found. We will take and obtain scientific data, such as Atmospheric Moisture Readings, Surface readings, RH, Vapour Pressure, Due Point, Psychrometric Chart Analysis. Using instruments such as an Infra-Red Thermometer, Thermo Hygrometer, Protimeter and in some cases Data Loggers.
All this Data will then be analysed to accurately identify what is causing the excess Moisture Vapour which is creating the Condensation and thus causing the Mould Growth. By means of investigation we will accurately identify the cause, type of Mould and what remedial works are needed to rectify the problem.
Condensation and Mould can have many causes and contributing factors within a property so our Surveyor will also investigate and examine these areas which will include lifestyle factors and Ventilation Inspection in Accordance with BS520-2002.
Our Condensation and Mould Surveyor will then compile a full written report (including where necessary a sketch plan detailing if remedial treatments need to be carried out or installed).

Condensation and Mould Survey - £200
A Condensation and Mould Survey is the process of an investigation and examination being carried out by our Specialist PCA CSDB | CSTDB | Certificated Condensation and Mould Surveyor to check for the cause, type and extent of Condensation and Mould problems that could possibly be found in your property.
The internal and external survey will accurately determine the cause of Condensation, the type and extent of any such Mould and give you a definitive diagnosis, list of works, and remedial quote to rectify the issues and eradicate the Moulds if they are present.
Our Surveyor is not only qualified with the PCA CSDB, CSTDB qualifications but is also certificated and trained in “A Diagnostic Approach to Understanding Condensation, Atmospheric Moisture and Mould.”
PIV Units
Due to mould and condensation, it may be necessary for us to Install a PIV (Positive Input Ventilation) Unit. This unit basically introduces fresh, filtered air into the home at a continuous rate, encouraging movement of air from inside to outside
